We want every client to be fully satisfied. If something isn’t right, here’s exactly how cancellations and refunds work — no fine print, no runaround.
1. Cancellation before work begins
If you cancel your order before a chartered accountant has started work on your filing or registration, you are entitled to a full refund of the professional fee paid. Government fees already remitted to statutory authorities are non-refundable, as they cannot be reversed.
2. Cancellation after work has started
Once your assigned CA has begun reviewing documents or preparing your filing, you may still cancel. In this case, we refund the unused portion of the fee on a pro-rata basis, calculated as follows:
- Less than 25% complete — 75% refund of professional fee.
- 25–50% complete — 50% refund of professional fee.
- More than 50% complete — 25% refund of professional fee.
- Filing already submitted — no refund, as the service has been fully delivered.
Completion percentage is determined by the stage of work documented in your dashboard (document review → preparation → CA review → submission).
3. Government and statutory fees
Fees paid to government bodies — including MCA registration fees, GST portal charges, trademark office fees and stamp duty — are non-refundable once remitted. These fees are collected at actuals with no markup by FilingSetu.
4. Subscription plan cancellations
If you are on a monthly or annual compliance plan:
- Monthly plans — cancel anytime from your dashboard. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle. No refund for the current month.
- Annual plans — cancel anytime. We refund the remaining unused months on a pro-rata basis, minus a 10% early-termination adjustment. Filings already completed or in progress are not refundable.
Cancellation takes effect from the next billing cycle. Any filings in progress at the time of cancellation will be completed as part of the current cycle.
5. Service quality issues
If you believe the work delivered does not meet professional standards, raise a concern within 14 days of delivery. We will review the matter with a senior CA and either:
- Rework the filing at no additional cost, or
- Issue a partial or full refund if the issue cannot be resolved.
Our goal is to make it right. Quality complaints are reviewed within 3 business days.
6. How to request a cancellation or refund
You can request a cancellation or refund through any of these channels:
- Dashboard — navigate to your order and select “Request cancellation.”
- Email — write to support@filingsetu.in with your order number.
- Phone — call +91 80 4567 8900 (Mon–Sat, 9:30 am – 7:00 pm IST).
- WhatsApp — message us with your order number for the fastest response.
7. Refund processing time
Once a refund is approved:
- UPI and bank transfers — credited within 3–5 business days.
- Credit/debit cards — credited within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank.
- Net banking — credited within 5–7 business days.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. If the original method is no longer available, we will work with you to arrange an alternative.
8. Exceptions
Refunds are not available in the following cases:
- The filing has already been submitted to the relevant government authority.
- Delays were caused by incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client.
- Government portal downtime or statutory changes beyond our control caused a delay, but the filing was ultimately completed.
- The request is made more than 30 days after service delivery.
9. Chargebacks
We encourage clients to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with their bank or card provider. We are committed to resolving issues quickly and fairly. Unjustified chargebacks may result in suspension of your FilingSetu account.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. Existing orders are governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
